Happy Mother's Day and a Giveaway!

In light of the recent Blogspot OOPSIE! Some of the comments were deleted so I am extending the giveaway for two more days so if you see your comment missing PLEASE repost!!! I will announce the winner on Monday. I am so sorry for any inconvenience but I want to make sure that everyone that had commented is counted :o) I hope that blogspot does not go down again over the weekend :o(

I have a feeling I know what I will be getting this Mother's Day. Adam has been catching all sorts of creepy crawly critters in the garden. I do not mind though, as a mama to three boys I have seen just about everything :o) And who does not just love a cute fuzzy caterpillar!

I hope that all the mamas out there are going to have a wonderful Mother's Day. Small plans or big you are all amazing and I hope at the very least you are able to take a nap or have the dishes dome for you. Those are the things I look forward to (hint, hint, if anyone in my family actually reads this).

The Giveaway!!!!!

Five half yard cuts of Heather Ross girlie fabric!!!!!!!

After the last giveaway I realized that the girls were slighted!!!! Not a one fabric for the pinks in the house. So I am hoping to right my wrong and be fair!

The winner will be chosen by random number on Thursday May 12th.

Y'all have two chances to win the pretties above!!!!!!!

Leave a comment on what you are doing for yourself or your mother on Mother's Day.

If you would like to have a second entry...let me know you are a follower or new follower in a separate comment. Doubles your chances!!!!!

If you are a no reply blogger please leave your email address in the comment box with your response so if you win I can reach you to send you the fabric yummy!!!!!

Closed to new entries

I hope everyone has a wonderful Mother's Day!!!!!!

Kim :o)

I called my moms, but didn't really do anything for myself. According to my husband, it "doesn't count" until next year (I'm due with our first in August). :(

I was asked to give a tribute to my mom at our church luncheon so I spoke about why she is worth "far more than rubies" to me.

I spent Mother's Day playing on the computer, watching TV, laying in bed reading a book, then I did some sewing :) We ordered Chinese take-out for supper so I didn't have to cook, and we have lots of leftovers so I don't have to cook tonight either :D The boys gave me craft books and fabric store gift certificates - that's my kind of day!

We had a potluck at my parents house for dinner, and my kids spoiled me with handmade cards and gifts.

For Mother's Day, we went to my MIL's house and installed a new, very loud doorbell while she was off on a jaunt with our son. When she returned home, we just happened to drive up and enjoyed seeing her find that she had a doorbell that she could hear!

I just plain oohed and aahed when I saw these gorgeous fabrics. I would love to win them. Mother's Day was spent at home with my dh, but I did get to visit with all 5 of our children. I also ran in and spent a little time with mom. It was a nice quiet day.

I drove 3 hours to spend the weekend with my mom for Mother's Day. She's bedridden, and it's always difficult to figure out what to give her when holidays roll around. This time I gave her new pillows and new pajamas.

My mother and mother in law are both deceased. For this mother's day my sister and I each wrote an essay about our mother and gave them to each other. And I had a fabulous cook out with my family! Thanks for a chance to win the pretty pink girlie fabric.

My mom and I made a quilt for my grandmother for Mother's Day. Actually I had to take her the top and show her because it isn't quite finished. I have to add 2 borders and then quilt it. We are going to try tying it so it will be nice and fluffy. It was so neat. She loved the top. She is a bird person, so each block has a picture of a different type of bird in it. lmkillingsworth@gmail.com

Then I spent my mom's day having breakfast made for me, went to church, came home, had lunch made for me, read a book in my jammies on the couch for the rest of the afternoon, had dinner made for me, and then finished the book I'd been reading. Cute fabric! I'd love to make something(s) for my 3-year-old daughter with all that! For Mother's Day, I was treated to lunch with my husband and two kids. Later, I visited my mother, presented her with a gift card to her favorite department store, and offered to take her shopping (something she loves to do but rarely has time for). She, instead, opted to come to my place where I whipped up a spaghetti dinner for her and my family!
